The Wellington Phoenix chief executive Tony Pignata backs the decision to expand the A-League to 10 teams next season.
Football Federation Australia announced yesterday that Gold Coast United and North Queensland would be added to the competition in 2009.
Pignata says it's a good decision but will mean player recruitment becomes a priority.
