The New Zealand cyclist Julian Dean has finished third in the Tour of Ireland.
The Garmin-Chipotle rider tried to attack during the last stage, but was covered and finished 6th in the ride into Cork, with Italian Marco Pinotti grabbing the tour victory on the last day.
Dean, who raced in the Olympics last month, finished second in the sprint points competition
