The Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah says the club will vigorously fullback Wade McKinnon when he appears before the NRL judiciary tomorrow night, charged with spitting at a touch judge during last Sunday's 42-20 win over Penrith in Auckland.
The NRL's match review committee decided yesterday McKinnon has a case to answer, although they haven't graded the charge.
Newcastle's hooker and stand-in captain Matt Hilder has been charged with a similar offence - allegedly spitting at an opposition player.
Both the Warriors and Newcastle have vital matches in this weekend's final round of the regular season.
