The former England batsman Graeme Hick has announced he'll be retiring from county cricket at the end of this month.

The 42 year old Zimbabwean-born Hick has been one of the game's most prolific run scorers, piling up more than 40-thousand runs at an average of just over 52. This year he scored his 136th century, placing him 8th on the all-time list.

Hick spent some time in New Zealand playing for Northern Districts and Auckland.
