Hawkes Bay came from behind to beat Taranaki 18-14 in last night's national provincial rugby championship game in Napier.
The Bay were 14-0 down after 20 minutes but then battled back, scoring two tries and keeping Tarakanki scoreless for the last 60 minutes.
The win moves Hawkes Bay temporarily in to second equal spot in the championship. They will, however, retain at last fourth place after the sixth round of the competition is completed.
Tonight Bay of Plenty take on Otago in Mt Maunganui and Manawatu play Wellington in Palmerston North.
