Alonso, 27, has been linked with moves to Ferrari and Honda despite having a year left on his current contract with Renault.
Ferrari has denied the Spaniard is moving to their team, saying world champion Kimi Raikonen and Felipe Massa would both be staying for at least another year.
Alonso, who is currently eighth in the driver's championship, won his world titles in 2005 and 2006.
Alonso was third in Belgium last year and second in 2005 and believes he has a good chance in Suinday's race.
