Counties Manukau are ruing having missed a prime opportunity to get off the bottom of the table in the Air New Zealand provincial rugby competition, after losing 20-15 to Waikato in Hamilton this afternoon.
Waikato led 12-3 at halftime but for a large part of the second half were up by just 17-15.
After round six Wellington, Canterbury, Bay of Plenty and Hawkes Bay make up the top four.
