Wellington remain unbeaten at the top of the Air New Zealand Cup rugby standings with Waikato showing some form in recent matches.
Following their win over Auckland, Waikato held on to beat Counties Manukau 20-15 yesterday to move up to 6th on the table.
Wellington have 30 points, Canterbury 24, Bay of Plenty 23, Hawkes bay 19, Southland 15, Waikato and Tasman 14, Otago 13 and Auckland and North Harbour 12.
In feature matches next weekend Bay of Plenty play Auckland, Wellington play Waikato, and Southland play North Harbour.
