Faumuina in trouble again

6:18 pm on 11 September 2008

Disappointed North Queensland officials say they'd have torn up the contract of former Kiwis forward Sione Faumuina had he still be on the club's National Rugby League roster.

Faumuina, who's heading to British club side Castleford one year deal, has been charged with wilful damage and disorderly conduct after being arrested by police at a nightclub in Brisbane in the early hours of this morning.

Cowboys chief executive Peter Parr says had Faumuina still been at the club, his contract would have been "terminated immediately".

Faumuina, who was sacked by the Warriors over a similar incident, is alleged to have thrown a glass at a mirror in the nightclub.

He will appear in court in a fortnight.
