The American yachting syndicate BMW ORACLE has welcomed the announcement of the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series to be run in Auckland early next year and confirmed that it will be entering a team.
Team New Zealand decided to run the series to keep interest in the America's Cup while holders Alinghi and Oracle continue their battles in court.
Oracle CEO Russell Coutts has congratulated the New Zealand Government and Team New Zealand and the other partners to the event in coming up with this format.
Coutts says it's a great way to get everyone back on the water and it should be an event sailors and fans will enjoy.
