Scott considering marks for Hornets rotation

The New Orleans Hornets NBA basketball coach Byron Scott says he's considering the New Zealander Sean Marks in his rotation for the new season which starts next month.

The forward-center is entering his ninth season in the NBA, but he has never averaged more than 4.6 points or played extended minutes.

Before signing with the Hornets last month, Marks played the past two seasons with the Phoenix Suns but appeared in only 22 games.

Scott, who had a stellar playing career with the Los Angeles Lakers, says he's told Marks he's going to get an opportunity if he can play.

Scott says he's seen him play over the years and wondered why he wasn't playing more.... however he's always liked him and this is going to be good for him.

Marks replaced backup center Chris Andersen, who signed with the Denver Nuggets as a free agent in the off-season.
