There may have been a touch of deja vu for the iconic Warriors prop Ruben Wiki as he was farewelled by his home crowd tonight before during and after the 30-13 win over the Sydney Rooster.
It was just three weeks ago that Wiki was given a celebratory send-off in what was assumed to be his last home game, when the Warriors easily beat Penrith.
A week later the Warriors played the Eels in Parramatta, in what would have been Wiki's last game, had they lost but he got another reprieve.
