Waikato has downed North 1 49-47 at Te Awamutu in a division one match in round three of netball's national championships.
In other first grade Division One matches Auckland Waitakere 1 defeated Western 45-32 in Auckland while Southland beat Otago 50-45 at Invercargill.
In Division Two Canterbury beat Wellington 57-48 in Christchurch and Bay of Plenty Gold defeated Counties Manukau 62-36 at Papakura.
The fourth round of the new format competition is next weekend with round five on October 2 during finals week in Rotorua.
