Spain thru to Davis Cup final

Rafael Nadal humbled Andy Roddick on Madrid's claycourts to knock out the U.S. Davis Cup holders and take Spain through to their sixth final.

The world number one showed no sign of an exhausting 103 previous matches this year as he raced through the first reverse singles against the US number one 6-4 6-0 6-4 to wrap up the tie for Spain 3-1.

Nadal described it as one of the most beautiful feelings in his career.

Roddick described Nadal as the best clay court player ever.

Argentina lead Russia 2-1 going into the reverse single in the other semi-final in Buenos Aires.
