The All Black first five Dan Carter has arrived in France for a visit ahead of his sabatical to French club Perpignan later this year.
Carter was suprised to find 20-or-so journalists waiting for him at the airport, but says it was nice to have a welcoming party.
Carter will join the club after the All Blacks end-of-year tour of Britain and Ireland.
He's since meet players and staff at Perpignan and is set to meet the fans today.
Perpignan are currently second in the French top 14 competition.
