New Zealand's Olympic gold medal winning boardsailor Tom Ashley has been named as one of the finalists for the World Sailor of the Year Award.
Ashley won both the Olympic and World titles this year.
Other finalists include former Team New Zealand crew member Ben Ainslie of Britain who also won gold at the Olympics in the Finn... single-handed Ocean racer Francis Joyon of France... Italian off-shore racer Vincenzo Onorato... and British matchracer Ian Williams.
