New Zealand motor racing driver Scott Dixon says he has no Formula One ambitions on the heels of his victory this year in the Indianapolis 500 race, and taking the big American Indycar championship.
In terms of prestige Indycar ranks just behind Formula One which normally attracts new recruits from other European series which often race on the same circuits as the top championship.
During a stopover in Auckland, Scott Dixon says he's focussed on trying to repeat his success in Indycar and doesn't see a move to Formula One as likely saying at 28 he's getting too old and would take too long for him to adapt to the competition.
Instead he's focusing on winning a third Indy car championship.
Dixon heads back to the United States shortly to take part in an endurance sports car race early next month.
