The unconfirmed Australian media report that a lonely and homesick Sonny Bill Williams is looking to return to rugby league comes hot on the heels of another unconfirmed British report that Toulon coach Tana Umaga is no longer with the French club.

Williams joined Toulon in early August on a one season contract with an option for a futher year after the Bulldogs released him from his five year contract.

However, the Daily Telegraph reports that a member of Williams' camp has spoken to a Bulldogs official.

Williams' manager, Khoder Nasser, is travelling to France to check on the welfare of his client amid rumours Williams is upset at his treatment by Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports from England say that Tana Umaga who took over the coaching job at Toulon last year is no longer with the club.

Umaga helped Toulon in promotion to the French top 14 competition but so far this season they're 7th on the table with 2 wins from 5 matches.

However that doesn't appear to be good enough with owner Mourad Boudjellal reportedly saying that former Wallabies and Stade Francais coach John Connolly is heading to France.
