Australian Sir Donald Bradman's first test cricket bat has sold for a record $176,000 at an auction in Melbourne.
Sir Bradman played his first test with the bat against England in Brisbane in 1928.
The auctioneers says it's the most a cricket bat has sold for in Australia and it was bought by an Australian.
Bradman made 18 and one in the Test, and was dropped for the next game for the only time in his career, being relegated to 12th man.
He donated the bat to a competition run by the Sun newspaper in Sydney to help raise money to endow a Don Bradman Cot for the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children.
There had been concerns that the bat would be bought by an overseas bidder. The auctioneers said there had been five serious enquiries from India.
