The playoff road could come to an end for Otago or Waikato in Hamilton tonight when round nine of rugby's provincial championship continues.
Both teams have had ordinary seasons so far with both losing last week -- Waikato to Hawkes Bay in Napier and Otago at home to Taranaki.
Otago is seventh on points differential and Waikato is tenth but home field advantage should see the hosts home.
Taranaki trailed 22-7 in Dunedin last week and on the strength of that comeback it's hard to see them losing to Counties Manukau in New Plymouth in tonight's other match.
