Price not using missing out on 2004 grand final as motivation for 2008

The Warriors skipper Steve Price says he's not using the disappointment of missing the Bulldogs National Rugby League grand final win four years as a motivating factor for tonight's semifinal against Manly at the Sydney Football Stadium.

The match will be Price's 299th NRL match and a win would see him bring up 300 games in the grand final.

In 2004 the then Bulldogs skipper had to sit on the sidelines with torn medial ligaments as his teammates won the premiership.

But Price says the disappointment of missing that game doesn't play on his mind.

He says there's no point thinking back over that time as you can't go back and get the game and just because he missed the game has had no bearing on the person he is in 2008.

Price, a Kangaroos and Queensland representative, says he's expecting plenty of Warriors supporters at the Sydney Football Stadium on Saturday night and with the Brisbane Broncos now out of the playoffs has called on their fans to support the Warriors.
