Endacott impressed by Warriors

The score may have looked lopsided but former Kiwis and Warriors coach Frank Endacott says the Warriors turned in a strong performance against Manly and the experience will serve them well come 2009.

The Warriors' 2008 season came to an end on Saturday night in Sydney, just one game shy of the National Rugby League grand final, but Endacott says he's been impressed with what he's seen from the side in the second half of the season.

He's been particulary pleased with the likes of Sonny Fai and Ben Matulino, young players who have come into the side and shown they're up to the task of playing first grade football.

However Endacott says the loss of veterans Reuben Wiki and Logan Swan will have an impact.
