NZ Cricket picks up international sponsor

The New Zealand cricketers will have a new sponsor's name on their playing shirts this summer.

A Dubai-based company has signed what New Zealand Cricket says is a multi-million dollar, three-year agreement.

The Black Caps' new sponsor is DEC with the National Bank retaining its domestic series sponsorship.

DEC is in real estate development and is a joint venture between an Indian company Dheeraj Constructions and East Coast LLC of Dubai.

New Zealand Cricket's chief executive Justin Vaughn says the new deal provides the benefits of an international sponsor, while allowing the National Bank to retain its connection with professional and grass roots cricket through the domestic series.
