The Wales rugby coach, New Zealand's Warren Gatland, has shown keen interest in joining the Lions coaching team for next year's tour of South Africa.
Gatland has chatted with Lions coach Ian McGeechan but as yet there's been no formal approach.
The Wales Union has supported Gatland's move.
