The New Zealand umpire Billy Bowden is backing himself to handle any situation when the Australian and Iindian cricket sides continue their intense rivalry this month.

Bowden's been appointed to the third and fourth tests in Delhi and Nagpur with the two sides renewing their rivalry in the wake of last summer's heated series in Australia.

Last summer Bowden was called into to the Border- Gavaskar series after West Indian umpire Steve Bucknor was stood down after the acriminious second test in Sydney which nearly saw India head home.

Bowden says he has enough experience and he and Pakistan's Aleem Dar will have no concerns about running the matches.
