The New Zealand golfing great Frank Nobilo will assist Greg Norman in leading the International team in next year's Presidents Cup clash with the United States.
Norman has named Nobilo as is captain's assistant ahead of Zimbabwe's Nick Price.
The Presidents Cup is contested bienially and pits players from non-European countries, including Australia and New Zealand against the United States.
Norman makes his debut as non-playing captain of the Internationals against the Fred Couples-led Americans in San Francisco in October next year.
Norman says Nobilo, who played for the International team three times in the nineties, was always at the front of his mind because of his knowledge and understanding of the game.
Nobilo who retired from the playing circuit five years ago because of injury, now works as a commentator for the US Golf Channel, which will allow him to keep an eye on the likely players.
