The New Zealand golf great Frank Nobilo says his appointment as Greg Norman's assistant for the international team in next year's Presidents Cup rates as a highlight in his career.
Norman makes his debut as non-playing captain of the Internationals against the Fred Couples-led Americans in San Francisco in October next year.
Norman says Nobilo, who played for the International team three times in the nineties, was always at the front of his mind because of his knowledge and understanding of the game.
Nobilo who retired from the playing circuit five years ago because of injury, now works as a commentator for the US Golf Channel, which will allow him to keep an eye on the likely players.
He says being part of Norman's campaign is probably as good as any highlight of his playing career.
