The New Zealand motor racing driver, Earl Bamber, has qualified on the front row for the season opening round of the A1GP in the Netherlands.

The host nation has won pole while Bamber, in his debut for the New Zealand team, has kept Team Ireland at bay by just three one-hundreds of a second.

Fifteen cars attended qualifying but an additional two cars are expected to line up on the grid for the race at the Zandvoort circuit.
