Canterbury has confirmed the signing of two members of the Northland team which ended Auckland's hopes of making the Air New Zealand Cup play-offs.
Fullback Jared Payne and prop Bronson Murray, will be eligible for the Crusaders in next season's Super 14 competition after both were in last season's Blues squad.
However both will be loaned back to Northland for the Air New Zealand Cup.
The number eight Thomas Waldrom is also joining the Crusaders and will be loaned to Hawkes Bay while another Wellington player, the lock Ross Filipo will also transfer to Canterbury. Filipo's already played 38 times for the Crusaders.
But the Canterbury fullback Paul Williams has transferred to Auckland and will be eligible to play for the Blues after playing for the Highlanders last season.
