NZ cricketers underdone ahead of ODI series

The New Zealand cricketers will be somewhat underdone when they start the one-day series against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Thursday.

The tourists only warm-up match was rained out, leaving the team to train indoors.

Despite the setback, the Black Caps will still head into the series confident of a clean sweep, which will move them up to number two in the ICC ODI rankings.

The postponement of the Champions Trophy allowed New Zealand to arrive early and acclimatise to conditions in Bangladesh, and captain Daniel Vettori expects nothing less than victory in the ODIs and two Tests. If it works out, it would be a repeat of their tour in 2004 and last season's home series.
