Danny Cipriani's club Wasps have confirmed the England rugby team's star first-five was involved in a training ground bust-up with team-mate Josh Lewsey,
There have been reports the 20-year-old was left dazed and nursing a split lip.
Lewsey's said to have criticised Cipriani for missing a couple of tackles but Wasps say the spat's been exaggerated and the two remain friends.
Cipriani displaced Jonny Wilkinson as England's first-choice number 10 last season and has only just come back from a serious ankle injury.
With Wilkinson sidelined again Cipriani's expected to play in next month's Tests against the Pacific Islanders, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
His increasingly high media profile has been enhanced by a relationship with actress and model Kelly Brook, another darling of the tabloids.
