The coach of double Olympic rowing champions Georgina and Caroline Evers Swindell admits to being somewhat surprised at their decision to retire from the sport.
Dick Tonks who's coached the the twins for the past eight years believes they could easily have continued to perform at the top level and feels they'd be capable of a Rob Waddell type comeback should they opt to do so.
He says while all the rowers in the national squad train hard the Evers Swindells attitude certainly set them apart.
