The New Zealand cricketers have achieved their first objective in Bangladesh, taking the one day series 2-1 with a 79-run margin in the deciding match in Chittagong.

Ross Taylor scored 103 and Jamie How 73 in the Black Caps' 249 for 7, and Bangladesh struggled to 170 for 8 after losing early wickets.

The first of two tests starts on Friday.

The Silver Ferns are anticipating much stronger opposition from England in tonight's second netball test in Dunedin, and coach Ruth Aitken says she won't be making wholesale changes to the lineup which won the opening game by 39 points.

The New Zealand women's rugby team have beaten Australia 37-3 in their opening test in Canberra, extending their unbeaten record to 9 games since the first Trans-Tasman test in 1994.
