The career of leading jockey Opie Bosson is on the line, having been charged with providing a urine sample for another jockey.
Bosson allegedly provided a urine sample for drug testing for fellow jockey Bruce Herd, when Herd was tested at a Te Rapa meeting in Hamilton earlier this month.
Simon Cooper of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing says Herd has been stood down from racing subject to a judicial hearing, while Bosson can continue riding at this stage but the pair both face lifetime bans and a fine of up to $25,000 if found guilty.
It means Bosson will be able to ride Princess Coup in next week's Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.
