Austrian cyclist Kohl admits failed test

Austria's Bernhard Kohl has admitted doping in the Tour de France in July when he finished as best climber and third overall in the race, and says he will work to help rid cycling of the scourge.

Kohl says he "succumbed to temptation" and took a new version of the blood boster EPO, known as CERA.

He says he's decided to renounce his right to a B test in order to clean his slate because he feels as if he's cheated many fans and all of Austria.

Kohl says he's relieved the truth is out and used the medication because he thought it couldn't be traced.
