David Beckham third most capped player for England

David Beckham became the third-most capped player in England's history after appearing as a late substitute in the 3-1 win over Belarus.

The LA Galaxy midfielder may have been on the pitch for only a few minutes but it still enough to secure him a 107th cap and relegate the 1966 World Cup winner Bobby Charlton to fourth.

One more appearance -- possibly in a friendly in Germany next month -- would see the 33-year-old Beckham equal the 1966 World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore's tally of 108 caps.

But Beckham has some way to go to match former goalkeeper Peter Shilton's record of 125 appearances.
