The New Zealand netballers go into Saturday night's third test in Palmerston North facing an English side high on confidence after coming back from a huge loss in the first test to win the second by two goals.

That's left the Silver Ferns contemplating the prospect of a series defeat which seemed unthinkable after the 65-26 win in Auckland .

The Ferns' assistant coach Wai Taumaunu the way in which Silver Ferns lost the second test is their biggest disappointment.

She says for that reason a very salient of lessons were learned.

One was that England are much more competitive and the other that composure must be maintained

until the last minute.

Taumaunu says the loss was an unpleasant lesson but it will stand younger players in good stead in future,
