Easy win for Rossi in Malaysia

The newly crowned world champion Valentino Rossi had an easy win on his Yamaha at the Malaysian MotoGP, the Italian's ninth victory of the season.

Spaniard Dani Pedrosa was second on a Honda, four and a half seconds behind, while Italian Andrea Dovizioso was third on a Honda for his first career podium.

Casey Stoner had a quiet race, starting his Ducati from seventh on the grid and finishing sixth. Fellow Australian Chris Vermeulen was ninth for Suzuki and Anthony West 12th on his Kawasaki.

Rossi, who sealed the championship in Japan three weeks ago, passed Pedrosa on lap 10 of 21 and then raced to the chequered flag at his favourite Sepang circuit with ease in steaming hot track conditions.
