The Tampa Bay Rays have beat the Boston Red Sox 3-1 to win the American League Championship Series 4-3 and reach baseball's World Series for the first time in their 11-year history.
The Rays will host the National League champion Philadelphia Phillies in the opening the best-of-seven World Series on Thursday.
