Ferari's Felipe Massa is banking on home town advantage helping helping him in the final round of his Formula One title fight with Lewis Hamilton in Brazil next month, after falling further behind the Briton following yesterday's penultimate round in China.

Massa was a distant second behind Hamilton's McLaren in Shanhai and now trails the championship leader by seven points with only 10 remaining to be won in the season finale.

Even if Massa wins at home in Brazil, Hamilton needs only to finish fifth to become the sport's youngest champion.

Massa has been on pole in Brazil for the past two seasons, winning in 2006 and finishing second last year but only after allowing teamate Raikkonen to go past and win.
