A referee's second controversial penalty decision has cost Newcastle a chance of a home win over Manchester City in English football's premier league, with the match ending 2-2.
That leaves City mid-table with United remaining second from bottom after playing most of the match a man down when Habib Beye was sent off.
It looked a harsh decision as Beye appeared to have taken the ball in a fair challenge but the referee Rob Styles dismissed the defender to change the complexion of the game.
Late last month Styles apologised to Bolton for the penalty decision that condemned them to a 2-0 defeat against Manchester United,
An own goal put Newcastle ahead an hour into the game but City equalised with four minutes to remain mid-table while Newcastle stay second from bottom.
