Marina Erakovic and tennis partner Sorana Cirstea of Romania have reached the finals of a WTA tournament in Luxembourg, beating the top-seeded Spanish pair in three sets.

Anabel Medina Garigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual are also the current French Open Champions but succumbed 1-6 6-3 4-10.

Pascual, a former world number one, is also one of the greats of women's doubles with nine Grand Slam titles and was runner-up at Wimbledon three times.

In the final Erakovic and Cirstea will face the Russia-Ukraine combination of Vera Dushevina and Mariya Koryttseva.

In Russia, top seed Andy Murray will defend his St Petersburg Open title against surprise finalist Andrey Golubev after thrashing Fernando Verdasco 6-0 6-3 in the semi-finals.

And Roger Federer will take on David Nalbandian in the Swiss Indoors final after the Basel-born world number two's bid for a third straight hometown title continued with an easy semi-final win over unseeded Spaniard Feliciano Lopez.
