A former Austrian skier Matthias Lanzinger is to sue the International Ski Federation over the March crash that led to the amputation of his left leg.
Lanzinger's lawyer says his client will use the sport's governing body over an alleged lack of sufficient medical facilities at the race slope in Norway.
He says an expert report provided by a Munich-based surgeon criticises the amount of time taken to get Lanzinger, 27, to the operating table and the methods used to try to save his leg.
Lanzinger's lower leg was amputated in Oslo on March 4, two days after his crash during a World Cup super-G race.
