Lewis Hamilton heads into this weekend's final Formula One Grand Prix of the season at Interlagos in Brazil knowing a fifth-place finish will see him crowned the youngest ever F1 world champion.
The local favourite Felipe Massa of Ferrari is the only obstacle between Hamilton and the title, which could be the McLaren driver's regardless of what he does himself if Massa finishes third or lower.
Hamilton's win in Shanghai gave the 23-year-old a seven-point lead over Massa and the Briton is relishing the prospect of making up for the disappointment of blowing his title chances last year.
He led going into Brazil with 107 points four clear of his then McLaren teammate Fernando Alonso and seven ahead of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.
Hamilton says it was very emotional time because he knew his rookie season would end with either great success or huge disappointment.
A disappointing seventh-place finish coupled with a victory for Raikkonen allowed the Finn to pip Hamilton, who says although he doesn't need to win that won't stop him going into the weekend looking to be as strong as possible.
