Manchester United's winger Cristiano Ronaldo has been voted by his peers football's World Player of the Year.
The honour, voted for by 57,500 professional footballers worldwide, was widely expected after Ronaldo scored 42 goals for United last season as the driving force behind the club's Premier league-Champions league double.
