The head of women's competitions for FIFA says New Zealand's small population shouldn't be seen as a barrier to international success in women's football.
Tatjana Haenni (HENNY ) is here for the first FIFA Under 17 World Cup, which starts tonight at the North Harbour stadium where New Zealand plays Canada.
She says other small countries such as Norway and Sweden have become world powers in women's football and New Zealand has a huge chance to join them, given the number of players here.
