Carter moved to midfield for Bledisloe Cup test

The player rated by many as the best first five in world rugby Dan Carter, will play at second five in the All Blacks Bledisloe Cup test in Hong Kong on Saturday night, with Waikato's Stephen Donald to play in the number ten jersey.

The test will also see Wellington winger Hosea Gear make his test debut after being included in the starting lineup.

Coach Graham Henry claims Donald was influential when he came on in the last Bledisloe Cup Test in Brisbane which sealed the tri nations and Bledisloe Cup for the All Blacks.

But rather than a reflection of Donald's ability it's quite possibly a reflection of Henry being more concerned about the form of Ma'a Nonu who played in the midfield against Australia in Brisbane, but was at times relegated to the wing when he returned to play for Wellington in the NPC.

The full team is:

McCaw, Tony Woodcock, Andrew Hore, Neemia Tialata, Brad Thorn, Ali Williams, Jerome Kaino, Rodney So'oialo, Jimmy Cowan, Donald, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Carter, Conrad Smith, Hosea Gear, Mils Muliaina

And the reserves: Keven Mealamu, Greg Somerville, Anthony Boric, Adam Thomson, Piri Weepu, Nonu and Isaia Toeava
