Roddick, Del Potro stroll into Paris third round

Andy Roddick and Juan Martin Del Potro remain on track for a tennis Masters Cup berth, strolling into the third round of the Paris Masters.

Roddick, who's sixth in the ATP Race, beat Feliciano Lopez 6-3 6-4 while Del Potro, who is seventh, thrashed Mario Ancic 6-0 6-4.

Three spots for next month's season-ending tournament in Shanghai are still available in Paris.

Roddick, Del Potro and Gilles Simon, who's eighth in the ATP Race, occupyied the remaining places at the start of the tournament.

The world number three Novak Djokovic, who has already secured his Masters Cup place in China, reached the third round after Dmitry Tursunov retired with a shoulder injury.
