Brooke says it's unfortunate the Bledisloe Cup test is simply a demonstration game

The former All Blacks loose forward Zinzan Brooke is disappointed there's nothing riding on New Zealand's Bledisloe Cup match against Australia in Hong Kong this weekend saying it's simply a demonstration game.

In a BBC website column he says rugby needs to promote the game globally but admits it feels odd for the two sides to be meeting in a Bledisloe Cup encounter outside of New Zealand or Australia.

With the All Blacks having already retained the Bledisloe Cup 2-1 the best the Wallabies can do is draw the series 2-all but that only means the All Blacks as holder keep the trophy for another year.

Despite the game being played outside either country Brooke says the historic nature and the traditional rivalry between the countries will still mean there's intensity to the match.
