It appears the Black Caps will be without all-rounder Jacob Oram for the two-test cricket series against Australia later this month.
The Dominion Post is reporting that the selectors have ruled Oram out, as he is still troubled by the back injury he suffered in Bangladesh and will save him for the home series against the West Indies in December.
There is also some doubt about fast bowler Chris Martin who missed the Bangladash tour through injury.
New Zealand play New South Wales in a 4-day match starting on the 13th before playing tests in Brisbane and Adelaide.
